President Obama’s Credit Card Declined at Date Night Dinner with Michelle
It's a good thing the First Lady remembered to bring her wallet on a recent dinner date with President Barack Obama, as her husband's credit card was unexpectedly declined!
While signing a Consumers Financial Protection Bureau executive order to safeguard consumers from credit-card fraud, the president told the crowd of reporters an anecdote of when he was unable to use his card to pay for a meal he and Michelle Obama enjoyed while recently visiting NYC.
"Turns out, I guess I don’t use it enough,” he explained. “They thought there was some fraud going on.”

“I was trying to explain to the waitress, ‘No really, I think that I’ve been paying my bills.’ So even I’m affected by this," he added.
Thankfully, Mrs. Obama was able to pay for the bill with her own credit card.
Hopefully the president can make up for his awkward date night gaffe by treating his wife to another date night!
