According to math, science, and the royal calendar, Prince Charles might not be in the UK for the birth of his son’s third royal baby. Queen Elizabeth’s eldest child will reportedly be in Australia with his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall this spring for a six-day tour for the Commonwealth Games starting on April 4.
Charles, 69, and Camilla, 70, will allegedly kick off their adventure Down Under in Brisbane. No doubt Charles will pick up many delights for the newest member of his family plus goodies for his grandkids Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, during the royal visit.
Speaking about his love of being a grandfather in a past interview, Charles has shared, “It’s a different part of your life. The great thing is to encourage them. Show them things to take their interest. My grandmother did that, she was wonderful.” Adding, “It is very important to create a bond when they are very young.” Last year, he told one royal fan that he adores reading Harry Potter to his little ones.
Interestingly, the April birth of royal baby No. 3 will be a lot different than Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s previous births, making Charles’ absence all the more unfortunate. According to Life & Style, Kate has chosen a home birth for her new baby. “She’s decided she’d like to give birth at Kensington Palace, in the comfort of her own home,” a source told the magazine.
