Just another example of how Kate Middleton and Prince William are breaking the royal parenting rules! When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced in December 2017 that their daughter, Princess Charlotte, would be attending Willcocks Nursery School, many royal fans were confused as to why she isn't going to the same school as her brother, Prince George. Interestingly, Kate and William's decision to send their kids to two different schools was simple and merely based on which program was a better fit for each tot!

"They chose that nursery [school] because they thought it would be an ideal first step for Charlotte’s education and they were impressed by the team who work there," a source recently told People. Willcocks Nursery School is also a bit closer to the family's Kensington Palace home than George's preschool, Thomas’s Battersea. Willcocks is located next to London’s Royal Albert Hall while Thomas’s Battersea is about four miles away from Kensington Palace.

Before he started at Thomas’s Battersea in September 2017, George, 4, attended nursery school at Westacre Montessori School, which was located close to William and Kate's Amner Hall home in Norfolk, England. Unlike his sister, Charlotte, 2, George only attended nursery school part-time. Charlotte is currently enrolled at Willcocks — which reportedly costs $12,000 per term — full-time. Earlier this year, In Touch reported that Charlotte "really missed" brother George while he was at school, so attending a nursery program will be good for the little royal so she can play with kids her age!

As George and Charlotte have gotten older, royal fans have gotten more and more details about the little ones' educational experiences. A source recently revealed that Charlotte is already speaking Spanish because her nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo (who is from Spain), is teaching her the language! Another insider similarly said Charlotte loves to talk. "She’s very sweet and very confident — she’s always chatting away. [She] is so polite, but also fun and energetic. She has beautiful manners," the source gushed. So cute! As for George, dad William previously confessed his son played a sheep in his school's Christmas Nativity play. We wish there were adorable public pics of that!
