It looks like Queen Elizabeth and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were the only ones to get the purple memo! The royal ladies stepped out in London wearing two different shades of the vibrant color for the annual church service at Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day on Monday, March 11.

Known for wearing vivacious shades that help her stand out in a crowd, the 92-year-old monarch donned a bright purple button-down jacket paired with a matching skirt. Queen Elizabeth, who is head of the Commonwealth, tied her eye-catching look together with a matching purple hat adorned with flowers on the front as well as a diamond and amethyst brooch on the left side of her chest.

As for Camilla, 71, the duchess opted for a long purple velvet coat with button details down the front. The wife of Prince Charles followed in the queen’s footsteps as she accessorized her outfit with a matching purple hat and a pearl necklace with a diamond-encrusted emblem.

The two royal women both kept their hands warm in gloves, though Elizabeth seemed to be wearing a cloth-like material while Camilla’s were leather. The queen and duchess even both carried a simple, black purse to hold their royal essentials a the special annual event.

Camilla and Elizabeth donning similar garments isn’t the only royal fashion statement that fans have noticed during the family’s most recent outing. Eagle-eyed admirers also noticed that Kate Middleton did a royal rewear by sporting a dress coat she once wore when Prince George, 5, was just a baby. The brunette beauty first wore the stunning 18-button, red Catherine Walker dress coat in April 2014 during a tour in New Zealand with Prince William and their eldest child, who was around 9 months old at the time.

This year’s service marked the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth, which represents 53 countries and almost 2.4 billion people. The theme for this year’s service was “A Connected Commonwealth,” which highlights the co-operation between the culturally diverse family of nations who work together in friendship.
