Queen Elizabeth Appears to Be Helping Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Deck Out Their House With Art

Thanks, grandma! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are doing their best to finish renovations on their new home in Windsor, England before their royal baby arrives this spring, and, according to a new report, Queen Elizabeth is acting like quite the interior designer for the couple.

Vanity Fair has revealed that the Queen, 92, is apparently letting the Duke of Sussex, 34, and the Duchess of Sussex, 37, choose numerous pieces of art from her private collection — something she also offered her grandson Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, when they got married in 2011. “Meghan and Harry have been told they can choose some artwork for Frogmore Cottage,” a source told the outlet. “They have been presented with a list of paintings that would be available to them and they are making up their minds as to what they would like to hang in their new home.” How fancy!

Prince Philip‘s wife gave the cottage to the royal pair as a gift and now she seems to be tossing some lovely works of art their way, too. Clearly, it seems like Queen Elizabeth really wants the duo to make their home look as good as possible. And Harry and Meghan are trying to do just that, as we recently learned that the couple is “racing against the clock” to not only wrap up construction on their place but also put the finishing touches on their first baby’s nursery.

“They’re working around the clock to make sure interior work on Frogmore Cottage [can begin] the second contractors leave,” a source recently told Us Weekly. And while the two are apparently “cutting it close,” the insider revealed that the duo is actually “calm” about the situation and are just “happy to go with the flow.” Well, that may or may not change come moving day, especially if one of the Queen’s Rembrandt pieces is dropped by a mover.
