Richard Gere, 68, Is the “Happiest Man in the Universe” After Marrying Much-Younger Girlfriend Alejandra Silva

Congrats are in order for Richard Gere and his much-younger girlfriend, Alejandra Silva — they're married! HOLA! previously reported that Richard, 68 and Alejandra, 35, tied the knot in early April in a civil ceremony. At the time, a source close to the couple said they were "extraordinarily happy" and another insider told People, "They're so comfortable with each other, have fun together, and are looking forward to their future together!"

And now, Richard can't say enough nice things about his new wife! "I'm the happiest man in the universe. How could I not be? The Pretty Woman star first went public with his relationship with Alejandra in 2015. He was previously married to supermodel Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995 and to Carey Lowell from 2002 to 2013. Richard and Carey have a teenage son, Homer, together. This is Alejandra's second marriage. The publicist first said yes to Govind Friedland, a mining executive, in 2012 before calling it quits three years later. Together they have a five-year-old son named Albert.
