Can you say house goals? Rob Lowe and his wife, Sheryl Berkoff, raised their two sons in their custom-built mansion in Montecito, California, but the duo sold their home now that Edward and John are all grown up. After seeing photos inside the West Wing star’s former estate, you’ll be wondering how Rob and Sheryl ever parted ways.

The Hollywood heartthrob and the professional makeup artist built their enviable abode after purchasing a plot of land for an undisclosed amount in 2005. It took two years of construction, but Rob and Sheryl were left with a luxurious home that includes a total of 20 rooms, a sprawling backyard and offers gorgeous views of Santa Barbara County and the Pacific Ocean.

We can’t imagine any home being more magnificent than this one. With eight full bathrooms, three half-bathrooms and six bedrooms, what more could a couple want? Beyond that, the home sits on 3.4 acres of property lined with towering oak trees. Not to mention, the lavish dwelling features a pool, tennis court and a number of other awesome outdoor amenities.

The best part, however, is the “East Coast meets Virginia countryside” vibe. According to Sheryl, the Santa Barbara mansion is the “perfect [house] for mud boots or high heels,” she dished in a 2012 interview with Architectural Digest. The fashion designer also expressed just how much love and attention the pair put into decorating.

“Building from scratch, I could finally have everything we’ve experienced, loved and wanted to have or do under one roof,” Sheryl gushed over their longtime living quarters, noting the space is “a meld” of her and Rob’s “personalities.”

As if the house wasn’t stunning enough, the neighbors aren’t too shabby either. According to reports, celebrities like Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Ellen DeGeneres, and former vice president Al Gore all reside nearby.

Although the Outsiders actor and Sheryl are sad about saying goodbye after selling the residence for $45.5 million in October 2020, the Wall Street Journal reported, they are excited to make a new place their home.

“With our boys now out of the house, we’re looking forward to our next real estate adventure,” they told Sotheby’s International Realty in 2018. While it’s unclear where Rob and Sheryl are heading to next, there’s no doubt they’re going to make it just as beautiful.
