The singer, 81, was due to take the stage at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on August 9 but pulled out at the last minute.
The venue broke the news on Instagram just hours before showtime.
“Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart’s performance tonight in Cincinnati has been postponed,” the statement read. “Rescheduling is currently underway, with additional information to follow on Tuesday. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date. Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati.”
Earlier in the summer, the singer pulled out of one concert on June 12 in San Diego just hours before it was set to start after contracting laryngitis.
He faced a backlash when he posted a video of himself and sons Liam, 31, and Alistair, 20, flying to Boston in a private jet to watch his beloved Scotland take on Haiti in the World Cup on June 14.
Stewart also appeared unwell while performing at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah, on June 19. He was later seen using an oxygen tank after appearing to struggle during the show.

The latest health setback comes just days after Stewart celebrated joyful family news when his daughter Ruby welcomed his sixth grandchild.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Ruby shared a series of photos of her newborn in the hospital with the family.
“We welcomed our little (big) Levi Rhodes Kalick at 6:58pm on 8/4/26 at 9lbs 20inches … his name Levi means my heart and his arrival has grown our hearts to 10 times the size…” she wrote. “Seeing Otis and Levi meet for the first time might have been the greatest experience of my life so far… Otis is already the best big brother, and we are already so in love with this sweet boy… Welcome sweet Levi!”
The post included photos of Ruby with Otis, 3, in her lap as he held his baby brother.
Ruby, 39, is Stewart’s only daughter with Kelly Emberg, an American model who appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. The “Maggie May” singer and Emberg dated from 1983 until 1990.
