Ryan Seacrest Is Reportedly ‘Homesick for L.A.’ After Joining ‘Live With Kelly’

Time to call the folks? Less than two years after Ryan Seacrest joined Kelly Ripa on Live!, it seems like the busy TV personality is feeling so homesick he may completely bail on the job.

According to Life & Style, the 44-year-old is considering leaving New York City and his Live with Kelly and Ryan gig to head back home to Los Angeles, as an insider reveals Ryan “has been talking about how much he misses his life on the West Coast.” The source continued, “Kelly would be devastated if he left, so she flat-out asked him if he planned to leave.” Awkward!

The American Idol host, according to the insider, “admitted that while he was homesick for LA, he signed a contract.” It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that someone up-and-left on Kelly, 48, as the program’s previous cohost also left abruptly. At the moment, it seems like Ryan is sticking by the All My Children alum’s side, but of course, things can change in a heartbeat.

It’s been a rough week for Ryan, who reportedly had his three-year relationship with his girlfriend, Shayna Taylor end, according to the National Enquirer.  The pair’s apparent breakup came as a shock to many people, especially since the pair seemed to be stronger than ever. The two met in 2013 after being introduced by friends, and although they took a break from each other in 2014, they rekindled their love, moving to NYC together.

“We’re very in sync,” the radio host once told People about his relationship with Shayna, 26. He added, “Moving to a new city together was fun because we were also having a new chapter together. Living together is easy.”

While Ryan’s relationship may be over, we just hope that his work-ship with Kelly isn’t over quite yet because we love the pair’s TV chemistry!
