She may have adopted her kids as a single mom, but Sandra Bullock couldn’t be happier about the little family she formed with her longtime boyfriend, Bryan Randall. A source close to the couple dished that the Bird Box star and her photographer beau are over the moon about their incredible family dynamic.

“Sandra and Bryan consider themselves a solid, committed, family unit,” the insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “They don’t talk about their relationship status that much, but it’s pretty clear what they have is a very special bond. Bryan proudly wears a wedding band on his wedding finger and there’s no doubt that he’s Louis and Laila’s dad.”

In 2010, Sandra, 54, adopted her 9-year-old son, Louis. Nearly five years later, the Miss Congeniality star adopted baby No. 2, daughter Laila, in 2015. Although the road to adoption was not the easiest, Sandra gushed that nothing feels as amazing as being an adoptive mom.

“You imagine so many things for yourself, but when it appears it’s better than anything you could ever imagine,” she explained to People in December 2018. “And in [Bird Box], it is about family in a sense, in that ‘sight’ has us choosing things based on a preconceived notion of what that image must be like, when in fact it’s the exact opposite.”

Sandra explained that it wasn’t until she had kids that she came to the conclusion that motherhood was her calling. “I finally realized, ‘Oh, this is what I was supposed to do when I grew up!’” she once admitted to Today host Hoda Kotb. “Not be an actress; be a mom.” Sandra decided to adopt her first child after Hurricane Katrina completely devastated areas of the south in 2005. “[Hurricane] Katrina happened in New Orleans,” Sandra said. “Something told me my child was there. It was weird.”

Now that they’re getting older, each day is easier for Sandra, thanks to the help from her boyfriend, Bryan — who is “sort of No. 1” with her kids “because he’s more fun and has better treats,” she’s previously said. “We’re raising our children to be fearless. At least I hope I’m raising my kids that way.”

Sandra and Bryan are such amazing parents to Louis and Laila!
