Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen are saying goodbye to a property that’s been a part of their lives for decades.
The longtime Hollywood couple recently listed their Martha’s Vineyard home for $9.875 million. It’s located in Chilmark, Massachusetts, and the waterfront compound holds a special place in their hearts – Danson, 78, and Steenburgen, 73, exchanged vows there in 1995.
The four-acre property includes a main residence with six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. There’s also a guest house, a detached studio and private access to the beach. The home also features a private dock, boat storage and gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape.
The former Cheers star and Steenburgen first met in the early ’80s when he auditioned for the role of her husband in Cross Creek. While he didn’t get the part, he and Steenburgen both landed roles in Pontiac Moon nearly a decade later.

At the time, Danson had recently finalized his divorce from his second wife, Casey Coates, with whom he shares daughters Kate and Alexis. Steenburgen was in a similar situation and had recently divorced her first husband, Malcolm McDowell. (The exes share son Charlie and daughter Lily.)
“I wasn’t ready for anything like a relationship. We just kept working together and becoming better and better friends,” the Step Brothers actress told People in 2021.
While Danson felt the same way, he invited Steenburgen on a canoe trip and sparks flew.
