Teri Hatcher, 55, Reminds Fans to Live Their Best Lives With Fit Bikini Photo: ‘Feels Liberating’

Forget about waiting for the New Year, Teri Hatcher has made it her mission to start getting fit ASAP! In fact, the 55-year-old star already exercises on a regular basis and, on Tuesday, December 10, she showed off her extremely impressive physique in a new snap she shared to Instagram.

“Exercise has become a source of well being, not a means to look good naked,” she explained in the caption, detailing her progress with an eight-week fitness challenge with F45 — which she has been attending with her 22-year-old daughter, Emerson Tenney. “So why actually post a pic of myself in a bikini? Well, this is my truth and being in this 55-year-old body actually feels liberating.”

“Here’s the thing. I’ve finally figured out how to be comfortable in my own skin,” she revealed. “Maybe not every day, but a lot of them. Age allows you to be clear on your purpose and cherish who and what you are grateful for. You have enough age to see the miracle of life and enough youth to revel in that knowledge.”

Teri shared her inspirational caption alongside a photo of herself looking amazing in a two-piece swimsuit. Not only were her arms super toned but her back and stomach were as well.

“Sharing myself in a bikini (which I may or may not ever wear again) is me being open to others, open to life … finding glorious connection and community. No filters, no makeup, no airbrushing, no negativity. Be strong enough to be vulnerable,” she said.

With age, Terri has learned a lot about accepting herself for who she is and she encourages her fans to do the same.

“You can be vulnerable and strong at the same time. You can forgive others and yourself. You are willing to put in the effort to reach a goal … or not. And that’s OK,” the Desperate Housewives actress explained. “Mostly, you know to make the most of every moment. For me that is sharing joy & positivity, knowledge I’ve gained through experience both successes and failures, and helping to lift others up.”
