A ‘Golden Girls’-Themed Cereal Is Now Available At Target — And There’s A Prize In Every Box!

No way! You can now buy Golden Girls-themed cereal at select Target stores — and the breakfast treat even includes a little figurine of one of the show’s iconic characters in every box. Not only does the purple cereal look very delectable, but the box’s design looks amazing, too. All four of the Golden Girls — Blanche Devereaux, Dorothy Zbornak, Rose Nylund, and Sophia Petrillo — are pictured on the front in anime form.

Funko, the company that created the tasty treat, even wrote a sweet note to fans on the back of the box: “Hey Kids, remember what it was like to sit in front of the TV on Saturday morning and watch cartoons while eating your favorite cereal?! Well, Funko does! So we’re bringing back Saturday morning to kids of all ages with our new sugar toasted FunkO’s! And remember, always have Fun!”

The multigrain FunkO’s cereal looks very similar to Cheerios — the only difference is that the Golden Girls cereal is sugar-coated and looks very fun to eat because it’s purple! If you can’t find a box at your local Target, Funko also made the breakfast cereal available online on ToyWiz.com and Mercari.com.

And, if you’re a true Golden Girls fan, you might want to also purchase a new cookbook inspired by the hit show that’s coming out soon. According to Today, the book will be published by an imprint of Disney Publishing called Kingswell and will feature all of the best recipes that were created on the series which ran from 1985 to 1992.

Bable has also reported that the cookbook will include the recipe for the famous cheesecake that Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia would enjoy in nearly every episode. But until the book is released, we can all head to Target to try out the yummy Golden Girls-themed cereal before it’s sold out!
