What ‘General Hospital’ Fans Need to Know About the Mystery Man at the Metro Court Pool

General Hospital fans have had to get used to a host of new faces in recent weeks, with three arriving in just one week. Christian Howard took over the role of Ethan Lovett from Nathan Dean on Monday with a surprise recast. Later in the week, soap vet Kelly Kruger made her debut as Serena Baldwin on Thursday, but so did another newcomer.

At the tail end of the episode, Ethan noticed a mystery man at the Metro Court pool. He was immediately alarmed at the sighting, so we know he is someone to watch out for.

Troy Appel’s GH Debut

Troy Lennon Appel made his debut as Hudson, a mysterious businessman who, as yet, doesn’t have a last name. However, with Ethan looking like he had seen a ghost, it’s a pretty good bet he is someone from Ethan’s past and possibly connected to Phoebe, the baby who is about to become a new member of the Quartermaine clan.

Appel, whose previous credits include Lethally Blonde, The Price for Silence, and Unravelling the Son-in-Law, per IMDb, offered a description for his new character in an interview with TV Insider.

“Hudson is a shady businessman, and you’re not clear as to his motives,” Appel said. “He goes one way, but then leans the other, and so he kind of keeps you on your toes. So far, what I’ve played, this guy is way cooler than I am, so it’s been so cool to play him.”

Appel dropped another hint as to who Hudson might find himself involved with when he mentioned who he has been working with the most.

“I’ve worked a lot with Eden [McCoy, Josslyn],” he said. “I did some scenes with Amanda [Setton, Brook Lynn] and Josh [Swickard, Chase] and Laura [Wright, Carly], so they’ve been introducing me in scenes with so many legacy characters here.”

If Hudson is Phoebe’s father, it would make sense that he’d be involved with Brook Lynn and Chase, who are set to adopt Phoebe. Could he also be involved with Josslyn’s latest WSB case? Tune in to find out.
