Lenny Kravitz’s Daughter Zoe Announces She’s Engaged To Actor Karl Glusman

Congratulations are in order for Zoe Kravitz — she’s engaged! Lenny Kravitz‘s 29-year-old daughter revealed in a new interview that her longtime boyfriend, actor Karl Glusman, 30, popped the question this past February and she said “Yes!”

While recently speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Zoe gushed about Karl’s romantic proposal earlier this year. “I could feel his heart beating so fast — I was like, ‘Baby, are you OK?’ I was actually worried about him!” she recalled. The Big Little Lies star then confessed that when her now fiancé got down on one knee, she hilariously told him, “‘Yes, stretch! Stretch to calm your heart down!'”

“He nailed it. And I love that it wasn’t this elaborate plan in Paris. It was at home, in sweatpants,” Zoe said of Karl’s sweet proposal. “I can be my weirdest self around him. It’s so relaxing to be around someone where you can be a hundred percent how you feel.” Zoe and Karl reportedly first met two years ago at a bar while hanging out with mutual friends and began dating soon after.

During a previous interview with Us Weekly, Zoe’s famous dad, Lenny, revealed that his only child — he welcomed Zoe with ex-wife Lisa Bonet back in 1988 — has actually given him dating advice in the past. “We talk about everything, but she is a very smart girl. She probably advises me way more than I advise her! She is very, very perceptive,” the 54-year-old rocker told the magazine.

In the same interview, Lenny confessed he’s very proud of Zoe’s acting career. “I am so happy for her, and not just because she is successful but she is doing what she loves and she works hard. She has a fantastic work ethic, and to see it is wonderful. I know how it feels now when I took my mom on tour for the Let Love Rule [tour] and she had no idea what was really happening, but here we are in a foreign country with people singing the lyrics, the show, the arena, I just remember how she couldn’t believe it. I don’t have the ‘I can’t believe it’ feeling, but it’s just amazing to see her doing well,” he gushed.

Congrats again to Zoe and Karl on their engagement — we can’t wait for the wedding!
