Zoe Saldana Is Reportedly Happy To Take Time Off From Work To Be With Her Family Instead

In Zoe Saldana‘s household, family always comes first! After she finished filming Avengers: Infinity War, which was released this April, Zoe decided to take a couple of months off to focus on her three-year-old twin sons, Bowie Perego-Saldana and Cy Perego-Saldana, and her one-year-old son, Zen Perego-Saldana, that she shares with her husband, Marco Perego.

“There’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel and a break to be with Marco and the boys,” a friend close to the 40-year-old mother recently told Star magazine. Last year, Zoe took on multiple showbiz projects including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, My Little Pony: The Movie, and I Kill Giants. She was juggling a very hectic work schedule while also trying to make time for her family.

“For the first time, I’m saying I don’t know how I’m doing it,” she admitted in a previous interview with E! News. “I’ve never met this kind of fatigue, this kind of exhaustion. We’re still happy, though. Life will always have to be good… There’s just a lot to worry about.” And when it comes to finding time to be intimate with her husband, Zoe also confessed that “there’s no sexy time past 7 p.m.”

“Whenever sexy time is going to happen it has to be before the evening. As soon as those suckers are in bed and you hear that the last one is finally sleeping, you’re like, ‘Do you want to watch a movie?’ You’re like, ‘Sure’ and you pass out,” she joked.

Zoe additionally has a couple more movies coming out for the Avatar franchise in the next few years. But instead of relying on outside help to look after her kids while she works, Zoe and Marco like to try and to do it all by themselves.

“They don’t rely too heavily on nannies and are very hands-on parents,” the source told Star. “She’s really embraced being a ‘normal mom.’ She loves it that her husband doesn’t treat her like a movie star — and that she’s just ‘Mom’ to her kids.”
