Adrienne Frantz Opens the Door to Bringing ‘Scrappy’ Amber Moore Back to CBS Soaps

If there’s one character who can shake things up on The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, it’s Amber Moore, played by Adrienne Frantz from 1997 to 2013, per IMDb, as she hopped back and forth between the two sister soaps.

Recently, Y&R’s Sally Spectra mentioned Amber’s name, wondering if she had any insight into the deal John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) made with Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) years ago. After all, Amber was Katherine’s biographer and might know all sorts of juicy secrets others were never aware of. When a friend mentioned the Amber name drop to Frantz, she made note of it on social media, leading fans to speculate that Amber could return.

Now, Frantz has said she is certainly not against that and is even open to a soap opera comeback. While the busy mom of three has other non-soap projects in the works, including the development of a streaming app, she doesn’t rule out bringing Amber to life once again.

“I still have plenty of room for soaps, too,” Frantz said in an interview with Soap Central, noting she could reunite with former costars if Amber moved back to Genoa City. “We could get the whole crew together. Wouldn’t it be something if there was a secret will and [Katherine] left all her [money] to Amber?” she said.

The last time fans saw Amber, she was bringing drama to B&B. Amber had just given birth to her daughter, Rosie, who Frantz said might be ready for a storyline of her own. “I think she’s about a perfect 18 now, right?” the actress joked.

Frantz was only 19 years old when she started playing Amber, who began her CBS soap life on B&B as Rick and Bridget Forrester’s babysitter. Nearly 30 years later, she still looks back on the character fondly. “[She’s] rough and tough,” Frantz said. “She’s scrappy and she finds a way to make it to the top no matter what.”
