An eagle-eyed fan may have just cracked the code regarding the upcoming funeral scene in Blue Bloods season 14. Warning, there are major spoilers for the Blue Bloods series finale ahead!

It was announced that the series finale of Blue Bloods would air on December 13, with the network sharing photos from the episode as a little teaser. And in all of the funeral photos, it became apparent that character Luis Badillo was not featured. This led rumors to swirl online that he would be the character that would get killed off.

On Wednesday, November 27, Blue Bloods posted a video on Instagram of one of the show’s iconic family dinners. While many in the comments were quick to say how much they will miss the show once it ends, one fan pointed out a huge revelation based on the latest photos released by CBS.

“Ok so you released a picture of the funeral that’s going to take place during the season finale coming up,” the fan wrote in a comment on the Instagram post. “To the left of Frank Reagan in the front row of the funeral it clearly shows Nancy Ticotin (Badillos Mother) (Jankos partner). I’m assuming it’s safe to say that Luis Badillo is the one who dies.”

If you look closely at the photos from the funeral scene that CBS released ahead of the December 13 finale, it appears that on the left-hand side, actress Nancy Ticotin is sitting with the funeral goers. She has appeared in two episodes of the show so far as Adriana Badillo and it looks like this might possibly be the third. However, her IMDb has not been updated to reflect her involvement in the series finale, which is titled “End of Tour.”

While we cannot confirm that Badillo is getting the ax since the show’s final two episodes have yet to air, this does seem like a pretty massive clue. But, there are some other big clues that could point to his character being in trouble. In the trailer for the second half of season 14, a quick clip showed a character, who looked to be Badillo, on the ground with his gun beside him. It appeared that Eddie was running over to him.

Another huge clue about what happens in the series finale is the fact that CBS released a photo of Eddie in a wheelchair and a hospital gown from a scene that will take place. It appears Mayor Peter Chase is also injured and lands in the hospital. At the funeral, the mayor is seen with his arm in a sling sitting next to Eddie. Badillo is not seen sitting next to his partner.

Vanessa Ray, who plays Eddie, teased that she had a big scene coming up with Badillo, played by Ian Quinlan, in the final episodes.

“She’s got a really good one with Badillo. That’s I think probably top five favorite scenes I’ve ever shot with him just getting to work with Ian on a scene,” Vanessa told TV Insider on November 22. “It was cool to shoot it because think we had to shoot it about four different ways to figure out what was going to make it in the edit. So that was really fun. And then it’s a lot of family. It’s a lot of being with the family. Yeah, I would say look out for the scenes with Badillo.”

Still, there are a couple of other secondary characters who are missing from the funeral photos. And one thing we know from watching Blue Bloods for 14 seasons is that anything can happen on the show. This could be a major fake-out by CBS to make us think Badillo is the one who is killed off, but only time will tell!
