Are Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas planning on starring in a new movie together?! While stopping by ITV’s Lorraine on Wednesday, September 25, The Mask of Zorro actress opened up about working with her husband and revealed she’d love to star alongside him again.

“We haven’t really [thought about it],” the 50-year-old beauty said of working on new projects with Michael, 75, before continuing, “But we did it one time in Traffic.”

Although it’s been nearly 20 years since the longtime couple starred in the Best Picture-nominated crime drama in 2000, Catherine teased that they should remake one of Michael’s biggest hits. “I think people would like to see us in War of the Roses,” she quipped.

The Oscar-winning actress, who would be replacing Kathleen Turner as the person who starred opposite Michael in the memorable 1989 film, insisted that fans would love to them in an updated version. “It’s disconcerting when people are in love on screen, they want to see real couples, to fight, it brings it back down to reality,” she explained.

Plans for the couple’s on-screen return wouldn’t really come as a surprise considering Michael previously gushed that he’s never been happier in his career. The iconic Basic Instinct actor even dished that he loves having their children, Cameron Douglas, 40, Dylan Douglas, 19, and Carys Douglas, 16, follow in his footsteps.

“The fact that all of them want to be actors and are good actors makes it all the more enjoyable,” Michael previously said at the 2019 Golden Globes. “They understand the whole system and have the sense of a third generation.”

The Kominsky Method actor also dished that age taught him about the important things in life. “The joy of my marriage with Catherine and having our children at a point in my life when my career had developed allowed me much more time to enjoy my family,” he said, adding, “as opposed to earlier on in my life.”

We’ll be sure to keep our eyes and ears peeled for any updates on a possible War of the Roses remake. After all, if the fans want it, the fans should get it, right? Fingers crossed!
