‘General Hospital’s’ Kirsten Storms Opens Up About 2025 Break-In and ‘Unnecessary Custody Case’
Kirsten Storms shares details on her custody case with ex Brandon Barash, linking a Tennessee apartment break-in to an unnecessary custody filing over daughter Harper.
General Hospital star Kirsten Storms has shared details about the custody case between herself and her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, regarding their 12-year-old daughter, Harper.
Storms, who was last seen on GH in March of this year, took to Instagram and shared a photo of a December police report detailing a follow-up to a call Storms had placed to the Franklin Police Department to report a break-in at her Tennessee apartment. The report states that Storms was away from her apartment for about a week in August of 2025, and when she returned home, she found damage to the deadbolt on her door, as well as items missing from her home.
The actress, who brought Maxie Jones to life on GH off and on from 2005 until this year, claimed that she was only posting the report for clarification about the break-in.
“Please do not tell me (or ask me) not to post these things,” she wrote. “I’m hoping this is the last item I post (of the documents I have on the break-in at my old apartment in Tennessee). I’m only doing this because that lead to an **unnecessary custody case** being filed against me.”
In April of this year, Storms’ ex-husband, former GH and Days of our Lives star, Brandon Barash, filed a restraining order against Storms, in which he cited mental health issues, per TMZ.
Storms stressed that she had been asked to meet with a mediator and not a judge, and claimed that her mental health issues were being used to “disregard a very real crime.”
“However, the break-in … followed by a ‘custody case/now mediation request’ where the break-in was the main reason for the initial custody filing, was unwarranted,” Storms asserted.
Storms added that she is seeking medical help for cysts around her brain, as she also continues to work with a therapist.
