She may have tied the knot with her new hubbyBrad Falchuk, last September, but Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t concerned about the untraditional aspects of her marriage. The Iron Man actress recently opened up about their relationship and explained why she and Brad choose to live in separate homes.

“Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” the 46-year-old beauty told The Sunday Times about her situation with Brad, who lives in his own house nearby with his children from a previous marriage.

Although they don’t even live together, Gwyn said coparenting can be just as tumultuous. The Avengers: End Game star is mom to daughter Apple Martin, 15, and son Moses Martin, 13, who she shares with her ex-husband, Chris Martin. Brad, 48, is the father to son Brody Falchuk and daughter Isabella Falchuk with ex-wife Suzanne Falchuk.

When asked if she was a good stepmom to her hubby’s kids, Gwyn hilariously replied, “I have no idea. I mean, sometimes that piece gets complicated when there are two teenage girls. If you’re not all drinking the same Kool-Aid, it can be tough,” she explained. “I do think, though, at the end of the day, everyone wants the same thing, which is to feel love and be accepted.”

The Goop owner even opened up about her once-complicated relationship with Brad’s son. “My stepson, for example, he had a rough beginning with it all, but now he and I have our own space together. I’m not his mother, he’s not my son, but he knows he is very special to me,” she gushed. Aww!

Gwyn first opened up about her and the Glee producer’s living situation following their cozy and romantic wedding ceremony in the Hamptons in September 2018. “We are still doing it in our own way. With teenage kids, you’ve got to tread lightly,” she told WSJ Magazine. “It’s pretty intense, the teenage thing.”

Not only does she have to coparent with Brad, but Gwyn also still has to coparent with her ex! Although it sounds like things could get complicated, the blonde beauty said the situation couldn’t be better. “Chris is family and Brad and he, they’re like, totally friends.”
