Erin and Ben Napier were just introduced to HGTV viewers earlier this year when their home improvement TV series Home Town premiered back in March, but fans are already obsessed with the couple’s sweet relationship and their talent for restoring old homes. But they just announced the newest, most exciting addition — Erin is pregnant with the couple’s first child! Erin announced the exciting news in a lengthy blog post, where she also announced that she is currently seven months pregnant. The couple — who is currently filming Season 2 of their HGTV series — managed to keep their pregnancy a secret for so long, but Erin gave fans insight into what it was like the day that she found out that she was pregnant — which just so happened to fall on Mother’s Day.
In her post, she explained that she had a hunch that she was pregnant because she had been feeling tired. She took a pregnancy test on the morning of May 14, and the test came back positive and she rushed into bed to wake up her husband.
“Through half-open eyes, the reality started to wake him up. He wrapped his huge, heavy arms around me and held me so close and said, ‘Everything is going to be great.’ And we cried,” she wrote. “Ben felt nothing but joy. I was surprised by the overwhelming relief I felt. The hardest part for me was done — the decision had been made for me. I would be a mother.”

Erin’s hubby — who is known for his custom work as a woodwork — had already started sketching out ideas for their baby’s crib about an hour after he found out that he would be a dad. He’s already become a doting father and Erin gushed over him in her post.
“Thank you for making me a mother, Ben,” she wrote. “Thank you for your heart and your love that’s big enough to carry Helen and I both, and for holding my hand every step of the way.”
