Celine Dion‘s three sons — René-Charles Angélil, 25, and fraternal twins Nelson and Eddy Angélil, 15 — have some reservations ahead of the Grammy winner’s concert comeback, a source tells Closer.
“They’re nervous about her taking on too much. She’s going full force,” the source explains. “Celine’s promised them that if she feels off color at any point that she’ll stop, but it’s hard for them not to worry.”
On Saturday, September 12, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer, 58, is set to kick off a 16-night residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, marking her first full performances since revealing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis. She’ll return for 10 more shows in May 2027.
“Thus far, the boys have managed to put their own fears to the side so they can help her achieve what she’s set out to do,” says the source. “They know this is something that she really wants to accomplish.”

In photos obtained by Closer, the “I’m Alive” artist appeared in good spirits as she left her Paris apartment to go to rehearsals for the residency on Tuesday, September 1.
“Celine doesn’t know if she’d have had the strength to get this far without her sons,” the source adds. “They tell her all the time that she can do anything she sets her mind to, and she says their belief in her is invaluable.”

Dion has parented René-Charles, Eddy and Nelson solo — at least physically, that is — since the 2016 death of their father, her beloved husband of 22 years René Angélil, who passed away at age 73 from cancer.
“When he left, he came inside of all of my kids’ hearts and mine,” she told ET in 2017. “He will always be with me.”
