We’re so glad Carrie Underwood is starting to feel better. The country music sensation was sadly hospitalized on Friday, Nov. 10 after a scary fall. Shortly after, fans were wondering how Carrie broke her wrist just two days after she successfully hosted the CMAs.

But now, nearly a week later, the country star is healing well. “I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well… even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on… I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me,” Carrie shared with her fans on Twitter.

Last week, a statement given to People stated that the 34-year-old suffered “multiple injuries” after she fell on the steps outside her home. Carrie was also treated for cuts and abrasions at the hospital before being released. The publication also reported that her husband, Mike Fisher, came home to Nashville to be with his recovering wife.

At the time, her rep said, “Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes.” Carrie then followed up with a thank you to all her fans on Sunday, Nov. 12. “Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody. I’ll be alright… might just take some time. Glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me,” the mom-of-one wrote.

Prior to her injuries, Carrie was set to play at the Country Rising benefit concert on Sunday, Nov. 12, in Nashville, but was unable to attend. Other performers included Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Martina McBride, Little Big Town, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton, and more.

Carrie’s speedy recovery is especially important because she values her exercise regimen. “My mental state is just so much better if I get out and move. If you have the opportunity, you should do that for yourself. Because it’s only going to make you a better person,” she’s said in a recent interview. “I used to work out six days a week. But now that’s a little rare, sometimes it’s one or two times a week and that just kind of has to be ok. And it is ok because whatever I’m doing that’s keeping me out of the gym is important.”
