Iconic ‘80s TV Star Makes Rare Public Appearance, Reuniting With Ex-Husband to Celebrate Family Milestone
Lisa Bonet made a rare public appearance at daughter Lola’s high school graduation, reuniting with ex Jason Momoa for the heartwarming June 4 celebration.
After staying out of the spotlight for the past few years, Lisa Bonet made a rare public appearance this week as she reunited with ex-husband Jason Momoa to celebrate their daughter’s high school graduation. Fans were thrilled to see the former couple together again and flooded social media with their reactions.
Bonet, 58, and Momoa, 46, happily posed for photos with Lola during her June 4 high school graduation in Los Angeles. In photos captured at the event, Momoa was spotted helping his daughter with the colorful leis she wore during her graduation. Other photos showed Momoa and Bonet posing on either side of the new high school graduate, smiles on everybody’s faces.
According to Hello!, Bonet’s appearance at her daughter’s graduation was her first significant public appearance in nearly four years. The last big event she attended was the October 2022 VIP North American Premiere of Amazonia.
Fans of the former couple loved seeing them together again for Lola’s graduation. Many noted that Lola hit the “genetic jackpot,” looking gorgeous and resembling both of her parents.
“I wish this couple never broke up anyway, glad they both support their daughter,” one fan wrote on Facebook.
Another fan gushed, “She’s beautiful! Reminds me of a young Lisa Bonet from the Cosby Show.”
Someone else added, “This reunion just warmed my heart…what a beautiful moment for the Momoa family!”
Bonet, known for her time starring on The Cosby Show and A Different World, has been living a low-key life away from the spotlight for several years. Her relationship with Aquaman star Momoa began after a chance meeting in 2005. They wed in 2017, but announced their split in 2022.
In addition to their daughter, Lola, the two share a son, Nakoa-Wolf. Bonet also has a daughter, Zoe Kravitz, with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
As Page Six notes, when they went public with their split, Momoa indicated the breakup was a “parting [of] ways in marriage,” and that they would continue to focus on their children. The two kept their word, with Momoa telling Access Hollywood in 2022, “We’re not back together, we’re family.”
While fans were thrilled to learn of Bonet’s rare appearance, many were equally touched to see the former couple coming together to celebrate their daughter. Years after their split, the graduation event served as a reminder that family remains a priority for both Momoa and Bonet, and fans loved seeing it.
