Food Network star Ina Garten is launching a new project, and fans are getting a kick out of how she’s promoting it. The first trailer for her new podcast, Happy Hour with Ina Garten, hit Instagram on August 28. It includes her husband, Jeffrey Garten, and the clip got everybody quite excited for the debut of the first episode dropping on September 16.
The video teaser for the video podcast showed the Food Network star in her kitchen, mixing up a drink. Her husband walks in and asks what she’s doing, and she says she’s making a podcast called Happy Hour.
She explains, “I’m inviting someone to our apartment, we’re gonna have a delicious drink, and we’re gonna sit and talk, and it’s gonna be really fun.”
She scoffs slightly and tells him it’ll be in their apartment, adding, “I didn’t tell you?”
Luckily, Jeffrey doesn’t need much convincing to let his wife of nearly 60 years go ahead with her plans. “If you wanna do it, it’s great,” he exclaims. She adds, “Right answer! He’s a keeper.”
Then, she hands her husband a newly mixed drink, and they toast as she says, “Cheers to you, for putting up with my podcast.”
Jeffrey says the drink is delicious, and quips, “I hope the podcast is as good as this!”

In the caption, Garten explained her vision for Happy Hour. “I’ve always felt that the best part of a dinner party is the surprising conversation you have with the person sitting across from you, especially if they’re really interesting! So, I thought, why not invite someone I admire to share a delicious drink, and find out what makes them tick?”
She also wrote, “In a world that can feel stressful and a little crazy, I think we’re all looking for connection and fun. That’s what Happy Hour is for me and I hope it is for you, too!”
One fan commented, “Never subscribed to anything so fast,” and several others admitted doing the same thing.
Another fan wrote, “Oh this makes me so happy!!”
Someone else added, “This is about to become my entire personality.”
The first episode of the Food Network star’s new project drops on both YouTube and podcast streaming services on September 16, and it looks like Garten’s fans will be counting down the days.
