Proud #GirlDad: Meet Jamie Foxx’s 2 Daughters Corinne and Annalise!

If you’ve been following Jamie Foxx‘s career long enough, you will know that he is a man of many talents — he has made us laugh, cry and sometimes both at the same time. However, he is more than just a Hollywood heavyweight, he is also a fantastic and loving father to two girls!

The Oscar winner had his first child in 1994, daughter Corinne, with his partner at the time, Connie Kline. The Oscar winner is known to keep the identity of his eldest kid’s mother a mystery. “Just in general, my dad is like the most supportive dad in the world,” Corrine once told People.

“The fact that he believes in me without a doubt it gives me the confidence to do so much. That man. I can see sometimes when we’re shooting Beat Shazam he’ll look at me and he’s just like, ‘My little girl!'” Corinne added. How incredibly sweet!

Corinne was 11 years old when her dad won the Best Actor Oscar for Ray in 2005. Jamie brought her as his date for the biggest professional moment of his life. “It was fabulous,” he gushed in an interview the same year. “I look for every opportunity to strengthen my bond with my daughter. As a father working in Hollywood, I know there will be many times when I have to be away from her. We video chat all the time,” he confessed.

“Connecting with my daughter is the most important thing in my life — the priority,” he said about Corinne in 2005. “I want to be a man who shows up for her. I want to have such a big influence on her, so that she knows she can call me about anything, which she does. ‘Daddy, the dog is dying — can you do something? It’s not gonna die,’ I told her.”

“When my daughter was 6, her mom and I were having some challenges, and at that point, it would’ve been so easy for me to say ‘Forget this. I’m Jamie Foxx. I don’t care what you do. I’ll just send the check.’ But instead of pulling back, I moved toward my daughter,” he revealed.

Corinne isn’t an only child either, as 15 years later, the Just Mercy star became a father of two — he welcomed another girl, Annalise, who he shares with his ex Kristin Grannis. The pair are even quite successful at coparenting.

Annalise has had the benefit of being around her dad as his career went into overdrive. “I was talking to Al Pacino in 1999, and I asked how do I go away to film a movie and leave my kids behind. And he told me you have to bring them with you,” Jamie told Popsugar in 2015.

“I wasn’t working a lot during the time of my oldest daughter, so I didn’t have to be away that much. But my youngest daughter goes absolutely everywhere with me. It’s great because now she understands why I’m going and what I’m doing. And a lot of good things have happened as a result,” Jamie admitted.

He continued, “But on the flip side, I have to put it into perspective. I remind her that this doesn’t happen to everybody and that this is a charmed life: it can be here today and gone this afternoon. I’m lucky that both of my kids seem to understand that.”
