Kate Middleton Wears Princess Diana’s Lover’s Knot Tiara For Glam Buckingham Palace Reception — See The New Pics!

Just hours after she hosted a festive Christmas party for military families at London’s Kensington Palace, Kate Middleton stepped out for the second time on Tuesday, Dec. 4 to attend Queen Elizabeth‘s 2018 Diplomatic Corps Reception at Buckingham Palace. And, of course, Kate looks beyond stunning (and glamorous!) in the new pics!

In photos taken of Kate at the special event, the 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge can be seen wearing Princess Diana‘s famous Lover’s Knot Tiara paired with a gorgeous white and silver gown. She attended the glam reception with her husband, Prince William. See the new pic of Kate wearing the tiara below! 

Queen Elizabeth, 92, hosts her annual Diplomatic Reception in early December of each year and Kate and William, also 36, have attended the lavish event together many times in the past. The dinner is held to both host and honor foreign diplomats and ambassadors at Buckingham Palace, according to PopSugar, and the reception is known to be the most formal royal event of the year with guests wearing “white tie” dress which includes gowns, tiaras, and full regalia.

However, in late October, Kate was also photographed wearing the Lover’s Knot Tiara at a similarly formal State Banquet at Buckingham Palace. For that reception, the mom-of-three wowed in a bespoke, blue mermaid gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen that featured a fitted, ruched bodice. She perfectly accessorized the glam look with Diana’s diamond and pearl tiara, Queen Alexandra’s wedding necklace — created in 1860 and previously worn by The Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth — and the Royal Family Order brooch.

Though not everyone loved Kate’s last gown — it was widely slammed by royal fans for looking like an “80’s prom dress” — we’re guessing lots of people will adore the Duchess’ newest frock, which features white tulle fabric with silver beading. Kate will always be a style Queen to us, no matter what she wears!
