Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick Share Sweet Red Carpet Moment After Nearly 40 Years Together
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick dazzled at the 40th Moving Image Awards, celebrating nearly 40 years of marriage and an upcoming family horror comedy film.
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have been married for nearly 40 years, and they seem as happy together now as they’ve ever been. The beloved couple walked the red carpet together at the 40th Annual Moving Image Awards on June 10, where they were honored for their work in the industry.
After Sedgwick shared a video containing highlights from the event on her Instagram page, fans gushed over seeing the longtime couple together, looking as adorable as ever.
“Love you guys. Example of love and respect,” one fan commented.
“Sooooooo well deserved for you BOTH,” wrote another fan.
“Beautiful in every way,” someone else added.
In October 2025, Bacon and Sedgwick talked to AARP about remaining close as a couple after all these years. She explained, “I think that we spend a lot of time thinking about what the other person might want or need.”
Sedgwick added, “I also think we really enjoy hanging out with each other and spending time with each other.”
Bacon and Sedgwick officially met while co-stars in the PBS project Lemon Sky, and they got married in 1988.
In an interview with the Museum of Moving Image ahead of the event, Bacon noted that in recent years, he and Sedgwick have made a concerted effort to work together more frequently. One of those joint efforts is yet to be released, but Bacon and Sedgwick have been hyping it up for a bit.
Family Movie stars not only Sedgwick and Bacon, but also their kids, Sosie, 34, and Travis, 37. In an interview with Today, she described it as a “horror comedy,” and said working with her kids was “amazing.” She shared that the movie would likely be released either in October 2026 or February 2027.
She admitted she was surprised they both agreed to do the movie, and shared, “It was extraordinary to see them just be good colleagues and good actors, and it was super fun.”
The strong connection that Bacon and Sedgwick showed while walking the red carpet at the recent award event reminded fans how much they love the longtime couple. For nearly four decades, the two have been supporting one another and gushing over each other, and fans enjoy every minute of it.
