After news broke that Lori Loughlin was allegedly involved in the highly publicized college admissions bribery scandal on Tuesday, March 12, fans of the Fuller House star began to wonder if and how viewers would say goodbye to the show’s beloved Aunt Becky in the Netflix sitcom’s upcoming final season.

And now, according to an insider, we’ve learned the 54-year-old actress will most likely not be returning to film Fuller House‘s fifth season. A source recently told TVLine that there are apparently no plans for Lori to reprise her role as one of America’s favorite aunts in upcoming episodes.

The mom-of-two has played Aunt Becky since season 1 of Full House (which premiered back in 1987), but after Hallmark cut all ties with Lori following her involvement in the college admissions scam it seems Netflix is making the same move.

Actress Jodie Sweetin, producer Jeff Franklin, actors Candace Cameron Bure, John Brotherton, Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber and (front L-R) actors Juan Pablo Di Pace, Bob Saget and John Stamos, winners of the Favorite Premium Comedy Series Award, 'Fuller House' pose in the press room during the People's Choice Awards 2017

Lori turned herself in to authorities on Wednesday, March 13 after she was indicted for apparently taking part in a huge scheme where parents paid brides up to $6 million to get their kids into prestigious colleges and universities all around the country, including ivy league colleges and other elite institutions. The actress and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli — among dozens of other wealthy parents, including actress Felicity Huffman — reportedly bribed college entrance-exam administrators and sports coaches, among others, to help their children get into college.

Lori and Mossimo, 55, supposedly paid a total of $500,000 so their two daughters, Olivia Jade Giannulli, 19, and Bella Giannulli, 20, would be accepted into the University of Southern California by being recruited to the school’s crew team — even though they never participated in the sport.

After the scandal was revealed, Olivia — who has a popular YouTube channel — lost her partnerships with Sephora and TRESemme. “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,” the company tweeted on Thursday, March 14.

According to a source close to the family, Olivia and Bella are heartbroken by their parents’ actions. “Olivia and Bella are both devastated by what’s happened,” a source recently told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s been mortifying and frightening for them. They love their parents dearly and realize they only wanted the best for them but they are starting to realize how very serious the charges [against] their parents are at their expense.” The insider added that the two sisters “never expected their parents to be charged for any crime, let alone one related to them.”

According to TMZ, Olivia and Bella have also both dropped out of USC out of fears they will be bullied on campus.
