Mariah Carey Hosts ‘Virtual Party’ for Twins Roc and Roe’s 9th Birthday: ‘I Love You So Much’
When it came time for Mariah Carey to plan her twins’ 9th birthday, she knew she had to make the most of their celebration at home in quarantine. The “Shake It Off” songstress dished the epic way she rang in Monroe and Moroccan’s special day on Thursday, April 30.
“Happy birthday, Roc and Roe!!!! My babies are 9 ?I love you so much,” Mariah, 50, gushed alongside photos from their fun-filled party via Instagram, adding the hashtags “dem [sic] babies” and “virtual party” at the end of her post.
The proud mom proved she went all out for her kiddos’ birthday as the trio sported custom shirts that read “Roc & Roe’s Virtual Party.” Mariah’s two children also donned matching hats that featured the same design. So cute!
In the second photo she shared, Roc and Roe can be seen posing in front of a huge movie screen. Considering social distancing measures were implemented amid the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, the birthday duo’s friends joined in on the fun by attending Roc and Roe’s party via Zoom virtual video.
Mariah’s fans seemed so impressed by the epic festivities as they flooded the post’s comments section with sweet messages. “How cuuuuute! What a beautiful family!! Happy birthday, Roc and Roe!” one user wrote, while another added, “King and queen of Zoom, happy birthday, little legends!” A third echoed, “The custom T-shirts serve!”
The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer’s awesome celebration for her kids is just one of many reasons why Mariah is such a doting mom. The iconic artist’s ex-husband, Nick Cannon, even revealed why he feels so blessed to have Mariah as the mother of his two eldest kids.
“People don’t know she is such a nourishing and giving individual,” the Wild ’N Out star, 39, previously shared with In Touch Weekly. “She’s an amazing, outstanding, top-of-the-line mother — it’s like Mary Poppins is your mom.”
Although Nick and Mariah called it quits in 2016 following eight years of marriage, he didn’t hold back when it came to praising his ex-wife for being such an incredible parent.
“I have never seen someone so giving,” he continued at the time. “[Mariah] remembers everyone’s birthday, favorite color — she’s like one of those types of people, always sending cakes, flowers, and balloons.”
Roc and Roe couldn’t be luckier to have Mariah as their mama!
