Marie Osmond Wants to ‘Reconnect’ With Husband Steve Craig Following ‘The Talk’ Departure
On to the next. Marie Osmond is “looking forward to spending more time” with her husband, Steve Craig, and her grandkids following her departure on The Talk, a source exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “She’s ready to semi-retire.”
“Their marriage is solid [and] she’s all about reconnecting to her husband with no kids around,” the source explains about her plan. “She’s happy about having an empty nest. Don’t count Marie out — she’s not going anywhere.”

On Wednesday, September 2, the “Paper Roses” singer, 60, revealed she was leaving The Talk after spending one year with the cast. Marie first joined the show in September 2019, one month after the program’s creator Sara Gilbert made her exit.
“One of the highlights of my year at #TheTalk was working with my dear friend John Redmann (former EP and showrunner) and I’m excited to continue our working relationship on several projects we are developing,” the Grammy nominee said on Instagram. “Also, my husband and I just dropped our last two kids off at college, we looked at each other, laughed and remembered we hadn’t been this alone together since 1982!! So, at this stage of my life, I’m looking forward to spending more time with him and visiting all the kids/grandkids.”
As a proud mom of eight, Marie has tried her best to balance her work and family life. The singer previously said she never left her kids at home while going on tour because she couldn’t bear leaving them “in a house.”
“Home is where we ALL were, together,” the “Meet Me in Montana” musician said on Instagram on August 30. “I grew up that way, so my children spent the summers on a bus with me going from show to show … sometimes 260 days a year.”

Now that Marie’s life is slowing down, she can be there for her family more often, especially for brother Donny Osmond who was named a celebrity panelist on FOX’s new singing show, I Can See Your Voice.
“I never had a sister growing up,” she previously told Closer about her bond with the “Puppy Love” singer. “Donny was the closest thing!”
