Nicole Kidman Almost Quit Acting After Welcoming Daughter Sunday: “I Was Pretty Much Done”

Would Hollywood even be Hollywood without Nicole Kidman in it? We’d say probably not. The A-list actress may be one of the most prominent faces in showbiz, but that doesn’t mean she’s never considered taking a different path in life.

In a candid new interview with Australia’s Today, Nicole, 50, shared that she almost quit acting a decade ago! Watch the video below to see why Nicole almost gave up her acting career.

Nicole has opened up in the past about how her age and sexuality has impacted her success in the industry. “Everything becomes more meaningful as you get older. It’s crazy. Big Little Lies means more. Lion’s success means more than Moulin Rouge!’s success. When you’re young you have that slightly laissez faire approach to everything.”

The actress has also shared that much of what she does in her career is for her family and also approved by them as well. “There are times when it gets put out into a family meeting and we all decide whether we can move here for a period of time and mommy can make a film or daddy can go do this,” she confessed. Nicole and her hubby, Keith Urban, are parents to two little girls together, Sunday, 9, and Faith, 6. In her Emmys acceptance speech, the blonde beauty shared that her daughters are her inspiration. “I have two little girls, Sunday and Faith, and my darling Keith,” Nicole said onstage. “This is yours. I want my little girls to have this on their shelf and to look at it and go, ‘Every time my mommy didn’t put me to bed, it’s because of this.
