Prince Harry and Pregnant Meghan Markle Are Heading to North Africa Later This Month

Those bags will be getting packed very soon! Later this month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be making a trip to Morocco, just a couple of weeks before their first royal baby is set to arrive.

On Friday, February 8, the official Kensington Palace Twitter account shared the news with everyone in a tweet that read, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Morocco from Saturday 23rd February to Monday 25th February 2019. This visit is at the request of Her Majesty’s Government.” It seems like Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, will head to North Africa so that they may focus on two very important causes to them: girls’ education and the empowerment of young people. So this royal trip will, of course, be a positive one!

While on the trip, the Suits alum will be about eight months pregnant. Though she’ll take some time off from her royal duties after giving birth this spring, we can expect Harry and Meghan to visit other countries in the future, especially since the former actress is now the patron of four important organizations that “reflect the causes and issues with which she has long been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women, and animal welfare.”

One of those royal patronages is Smart Works, which is all about helping “long-term unemployed and vulnerable women regain the skills, confidence, and tools to succeed at job interviews, return to employment and transform their lives.” That aim perfectly lines up with the point of the pair’s just-announced trip to Morocco.

Another patronage the Duchess will be focused on is the Association of Commonwealth Universities, an organization that represents higher education in all 53 Commonwealth countries. Again, this also fits with the duo’s Morocco visit. We certainly can’t wait to see Meghan and Harry make their big trip, and for them to really positively impact the men and women in North Africa.
