Think you know everything about Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon? Think again.

Check out some interesting tidbits about the talented and bubbly actress!

I Like Getting Older

“I have a point of view because I’ve been on this planet for 43 years, and I didn’t feel that same way when I was 25,” she says. “I didn’t have the same things to say. I’ve had a whole bunch of experiences and I just feel like I earned that gray hair and my fine lines. I like ’em! I so prefer 43 to 25.”

I Have a Hard Time Letting Go

When her 19-year-old daughter, Ava, left for college last fall, “I might have gone into her empty room, laid down on her bed and cried,” admits Reese, who is also mom to sons Deacon, 15, and Tennessee, 6. “It’s weird when your children go away to college. It’s hard.”

My Mom Inspires Me

A former labor-and-delivery nurse, Reese’s mom, Betty, would “take care of 17 babies at once, and I remember being so in awe of her,” she says. “She always had a positive attitude, always laughing, telling a joke.”

I Had a Nickname Growing Up

Is it any surprise that Reese — who coproduces and stars in HBO’s hit drama Big Little Lies, owns a production company, heads a successful clothing line and in her spare time writes books — was once dubbed “Little Miss Type A” by her parents?

I Used to Hide My Oscar

“But then I was like, ‘Why shouldn’t I put it out here in the living room?'” says Reese, who took home the best actress Oscar for her portrayal of June Carter in 2005’s acclaimed Johnny Cash biography Walk the Line.
