Reese Witherspoon Says She’s ‘Found’ a ‘Sister’ in Her ‘Big Little Lies’ Costar Laura Dern

Big Little Lies stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern are more than just friends. They’re sisters! The Legally Blonde actress opened up about their amazing bond in a new interview on Tuesday, March 17.

“You know, you meet people, you’re friends with people, but I say about a few women in my life, they are my sisters. I don’t have a sister and I found my sister in Laura. No one makes me laugh like Laura. She’s magical,” Reese, 43, gushed in the April 2020 issue of Vanity Fair.

Plus, Laura, 53, feels the same way. “Reese is a miracle,” the Marriage Story actress also told VF. “She is the gold standard of what it means to be a champion. She has always been a champion of art, and other artists, as well as friends and family. But discovering how she will never stop until other women are honored for their voices and their skills with not only a seat at the table, but paid and paid well for it, is a rare marvel.”

Laura didn’t stop there. She revealed why Reese is so well-respected in the entertainment industry. “Because of her, so many other women in positions of power have followed suit,” she said. “As an only child, finding family has always been very important to me. And that I get her in both areas of my life — personal and professional — is an outrageous blessing.” Aww!

Reese and Laua definitely have a great friendship. When they were both on their press tour for Wild, Laura revealed why she never gets tired of hanging out with Reese after they spend so much time together.

“You know someone is your favorite person when you’ve done a day of press, listened to yourself ad nauseam, listened to them tell every story, and when it ends, it’s like, ‘Are we going to eat something?’ she joked to The New York Times in March 2017.

Sounds like Laura and Reese are going to be best friends till the end!
