Reese Witherspoon Twins With Lookalike Daughter Ava Phillippe on ‘Big Little Lies’ Red Carpet — See the Pics!
Seeing double?! Reese Witherspoon walked the red carpet at the Big Little Lies season 2 premiere on Wednesday, May 29, with lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe and we could have sworn they were sisters.
Reese, 43, looked stunning in a strapless pink and black dress that kind of matched her daughter’s outfit. Instead of wearing two colors, Ava, 19, opted to wear a shimmery black cocktail dress that showed off her toned legs and arms. In snaps taken of the duo, Ava was seen hugging Reese as they laughed together.
In 1999, Reese welcomed Ava with her ex-husband, fellow actor Ryan Phillippe. The former couple are also parents to their 15-year-old son, Deacon Phillippe, born in 2003. In 2012, Reese welcomed her third child, Tennessee Toth, 6, with her husband, Jim Toth.
When Entertainment Tonight asked Reese if Ava will be appearing on Big Little Lies season 3, she had the most hilarious answer. “Oh! I didn’t know there was a Big Little Lies season 3!” she joked. “I don’t know [if it could happen]. “I never say never. You don’t know. And [season 2] was a surprise.”
In season 2, Reese got to work with three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep, who was introduced to the show as a new character. “It was intimidating, for sure,” she admitted. “I had to sometimes pull myself back and take a deep breath and go, ‘OK, she’s just a person. She’s just a human being.’ But it was a thrill. And to get to sit with her and talk about the script and work through scenes, it was just like, ‘Are you kidding me?'”
Not only that but Reese explains that Meryl’s character will add “a lot of tension in Monterrey.” However, in real life she says The Iron Lady star is just as “truthful and honest and genuine and fun-loving as you can imagine.”
