Roseanne Barr Has Canceled Her Highly-Anticipated TV Interview
No need to set your DVR anymore — Roseanne Barr has cancelled her highly-anticipated upcoming TV interview. The former sitcom star previously took to Twitter on Sunday, June 8 to tease a small screen return.
"To my wonderful fans who I treasure and love — who have carried me these past weeks when I was 2 weak 2 carry myself: I will be doing a TV interview this week. I’ll tell u about it tomorrow!" she wrote on the social media platform at the time.

Fans waited anxiously on Monday, July 9 for a follow-up tweet from Roseanne. Later in the night she wrote, "After a lot of thought, I decided that I won’t be doing any TV interviews, too stressful & untrustworthy 4 me & my fans. I’m going to film it myself & post it on my youtube channel in the next week — the entire explanation of what happened & why!" She added, "I love you all — sign up & get ready."
Viewers were especially excited about her interview following the abrupt cancellation of her sitcom, Roseanne, after the actress' racist tweet in which she referred to Valerie Jarrett, one of former President Barack Obama's top aides aS "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj."
Soon after the immediate backlash from her fans and ABC, Roseanne took to Twitter to say sorry for her hurtful words. "I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me — my joke was in bad taste."

In June, she took to Twitter once again to assure fans she's doing "fine" amid all the drama. "I want you all to know I'm fine. I've been using this time to reflect and to gain insight on what I said and how it was misunderstood," she wrote. "Needless to say I'm NOT what people have accused me of! I’ve never practiced 'RACISM' in my entire life and never will."
