He’s a whole new man!

Simon Cowell has been quite open about the vegan diet he is currently on, as he recently revealed to Extra that he has actually lost “about 20 pounds.” He also added that he is feeling “much better” since dropping the weight. However, he did admit that he of course craves pizza, saying it has been “really hard” not eating it.

As for whether the former American Idol judge, 59, has a cheat day, he said, “no, I haven’t.”

This isn’t the first time that the TV personality has discussed his weight and his health — he once told the outlet, “I went to see this guy who’s very well known. And he said to me after doing some blood work, ‘You can’t have red meat, dairy, sugar, bread or gluten.’ I’m thinking, ‘What about alcohol?’ He said, ‘Maybe not quite as much as you had before.’ And I did it and I stuck to it and it’s easy.”

Simon also credited his son Eric, 5, for having some inspiration-worthy eating habits. “Apart from ice cream, he actually likes water [and] eats all his raw vegetable,” he said. “I’m on the Eric Cowell diet.” Hey, whatever works!

The talent manager shares his son with longtime girlfriend, Lauren Silverman — and this is one little boy that Simon is completely crazy about. “He’s very funny. I was with him yesterday and he said, ‘Daddy, how come everybody smiles at you?’” he once told Us Weekly.

“And I went, ‘No, it’s you! They all know your name,’” he continued. “I said, ‘From the minute you were born, for some reason, everybody knew your first name.’ He went, ‘Really?’ I said, ‘Yeah! They knew your name.’ So I said, ‘It’s you!’” Simon also acknowledged just how quickly kids grow up.

“[Time flies] like you wouldn’t believe,” Simon said. “I said to someone the other day, ‘It’s much easier than I thought.’ And then you can’t imagine ever not having him … It’s the most amazing feeling.”

We are so happy to see that Simon is getting more healthy, and is working towards sticking around a lot longer for his family.
