The Golden Girls Weren’t the Only Sitcom Stars With an Adorable Abode — See the Most Iconic TV Living Rooms!
The small screen has featured its fair share of iconic homes and apartments over the years — and since an abode's most important (and arguably most used!) space is the living room, we're taking a look back at some of the best sitcom family rooms ever!

Interestingly, several TV shows' sets have been slammed over the years by people ~keeping it real~ and arguing that certain characters' jobs and lifestyles just wouldn't allow them to have the lavish homes or apartments they sometimes do on television. For example, a 2015 Bustle article suggested Monica Geller and Rachel Green's Greenwich Village apartment on Friends — thought to be around 1,500 square-feet — would probably cost renters a whopping $5,000 per month in NYC.
Similarly, Sex and the City's lead character, Carrie Bradshaw, lived in a super cute, Upper East Side apartment in NYC — all while working as a freelance writer. According to The Financial Diet, Carrie's apartment would have cost her nearly $3,000 per month to rent. Sorry SATC fans, but Carrie being able to afford her place is totally unrealistic!
Thankfully, we're usually able to look past the huge and expensive pads we see our favorite TV characters hanging out in every day and just take them for what they are — awesomely decorated living spaces! Scroll down to see more of the most iconic television living rooms ever.

The Jefferson family's house featured classic 1970s decor — not surprising since the iconic show ran for 10 seasons on CBS from 1975 until 1985!
Family Matters
The Winslows' family room featured wooden furniture, colorful rugs, lots of throw pillows, and several chic — and expensive! — tchotchkes.
Full House
The Tanner-Katsopolis-Gladstone household had a huge living room — with a super cool lofted staircase! — that, of course, featured the show's famous blue checkered couch.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The Banks family was living large in their lavish Bel-Air, CA mansion that featured a stately staircase, expensive furniture, and a plethora of chic decor accessories.
Will & Grace
Will and Grace's NYC apartment featured a comfy blue couch, a few wooden bookcases, and an awesome wicker coffee table that included extra seating!
Three's Company
Jack, Janet, and Chrissy lived in a super cute apartment with classic 70s decor — that couch basically says it all!

Jerry and his pals hung out in a huge NYC apartment with an open-concept layout that basically morphed the living room, office, and kitchen into one big space!
