The Potential Taboo Pairing That Has ‘General Hospital’ Fans Picking Sides

The idea of pairing General Hospital‘s Cassius Faison and Josslyn Jacks seems pretty out of this world on the surface. After all, Josslyn was an adolescent in middle school when Cassius’ twin brother, Nathan, was a full-fledged married police detective who even thought he’d fathered Charlotte at one time. However, Cassius and Josslyn have been spending an awful lot of time together lately in a precarious situation that has some fans thinking that GH just might go there.

“Ditzy sorority girl” is how Cassius described Josslyn when Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) tried to tell him she could be dangerous. He gained a whole new respect when he learned that Joss was really a WSB agent, but that didn’t stop him from imprisoning her in Wyndemere’s basement, lest she tell anyone that he is not really Nathan and has just been impersonating his dead brother.

Eventually, Cassius revealed that he’s in too deep with the bad guys and has spent weeks trying to keep Josslyn safe, while also keeping her under lock and key, quite literally. Their scenes together have revealed an unexpected chemistry between Eden McCoy and Ryan Paevey that fans have noticed. Some like it, the jury is still out for others, and some just say no.

“If they have chemistry and are both adults, then why not see where it goes?” one fan said on Reddit.

Another sees a problem with Cassius and Josslyn’s wide age gap, but still wants to see scenes of them together, just not as a romantic couple. “I think the age gap is too weird,” they said. “No matter how much of a grown-up job she has, she is still a young adult in a high stress situation. I hope he takes on some sort of older brother/mentor figure to her.”

Fans on X were also divided, with one stating, “Love comes when it comes. Love doesn’t recognize age when it Does. That being said, Josslynn and Cassius shouldn’t be together because of the current situation. Cassius kidnapped Josslynn. They don’t trust each other. So how is Love supposed to grow between them?”

However, another X user does not see an issue with the age gap at all, saying, “I LOVE them together! Joss needs a new love interest and Not Nathan is perfect for her!”
