Britt’s Most Daring Move Yet Has ‘General Hospital’ Fans Seeing Red

General Hospital’s Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has really done it this time. She was all set to leave town on her own and never set foot in Port Charles again. Then, a doe-eyed teen begged him to take him with her and she couldn’t say no. That’s left fans of the ABC soap fuming and they’re not being quiet about it.

Britt Westbourne Makes a Bad Decision

At her wits’ end, Britt made the last-minute decision to get out of Port Charles, thinking she could save the people she cared about from danger. She was also not willing to hand over her scientific research on cold fusion to the bad guys to do something nefarious.

The only reason she was working for Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) was that they gave her access to a fictional experimental drug that kept her Huntington’s Disease symptoms in check. Britt knew by leaving town that she’d be sacrificing her own life, but was willing to do it anyway.

Enter Rocco (Finn Carr), the teen she gave birth to after stealing him from his parents as an embryo. To save her and Jason (Steve Burton), Rocco shot WSB director Ross Cullum in the back. Britt begged Rocco to get his parents to take him out of town before Cullum found out he was the one who shot him. Rocco had what he thought was a better idea. He could just go with Britt. For some reason, Britt said okay to this, which immediately sent fans into a tailspin.

General Hospital Fans Have a Bone To Pick With Britt

As soon as Britt made that monumental decision to take Rocco and his fake passport on the run with her, GH fans took to social media to express their outrage.

“Oh Rocco… you are making ridiculous choices! Oh Britt, why?” one fan asked on X, echoing the sentiment of many.

Another fan believes Britt was thinking of herself more than Rocco, saying, “Britt is a selfish chick who just can’t get outta her own way. Doc Westbourne is taking advantage of a kid who’s really vulnerable while also lashing out. She’s unfit to be a parent along w being the ADULT.”

Others wonder how Britt thinks she is going to protect Rocco when she was the one who unwittingly put him in danger to begin with.

“Britt is the one with the target on her back. Why are you taking Rocco? You need to leave. Again How is she gonna protect somebody? When she can’t even protect herself,” an X user wondered.

Still, there are Britt fans out there who don’t agree with her choices, but still stand by that girl. As one fan put it, “I don’t agree with Britt taking Rocco. I didn’t like her handling Liz like that. Do I get the characters POV? Yes but understanding it doesn’t mean I agree with it. I can hate the choices a character makes but still love the character.”
