Tracy Morgan is continuing to speak out about recovering from his June 2014 car crash — and revealed he has doubts about returning to comedy in the future.

"I wonder how I'm going to be funny again, how I'm going to get to it, remembering my identity, what do I do?" the 46-year-old actor said during the second part of his Today interview with Matt Lauer, which premiered last night on NBC.

"I can't wait to make [my fans] laugh again… when I'm 100 percent, I'm gonna grab that mic and I'm never gonna let it go. Never. I promise you. I promise y'all. I'm gonna be the funniest I can be because I ain't never gonna take life for granted no more," Tracy continued with tears streaming down his face.

As he was recovering from the accident, Tracy's 30 Rock costars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin sent their love to the actor during Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary special in February 2015.

"We were all together in my house and I wouldn't look at [the TV]. I wouldn't watch it. Lewis Kay, my publicist, called and said, 'Alec and Tina just, aw man, they gave you a very big, very big tribute,'" recalled Tracy, who was an SNL cast member from 1996 until 2003.

"I just put my head down and started crying because [that was] a lot for me," he said of hearing Tina and Alec's kind words. "It was too much for me at that time."
