Get well soon, Wendy Williams! After missing her daytime talk show on Monday, Dec. 17, the 54-year-old returned to The Wendy Williams Show wearing a sling on Tuesday, Dec. 18 to tell her viewers she’s “on the mend” after suffering a shoulder fracture. “I have a hair fracture on my right shoulder. And I did it on Sunday. And by Monday morning, my shoulder was on fire,” Wendy told her fans, adding that her sling was covered by her pink sweater.

“There’s no way I could have done yesterday’s show. I was all about the medical care yesterday, from one doctor to the other,” she continued. “I’m on the mend. I don’t need an operation. They tell me I’m very healthy for, um… a person after 50. I don’t need an operation, and I’m not wearing a hard cast. But I do have a sling… Staff, crew, the show will go on!” Watch the video below to see Wendy explain her injury on-air!

During her show’s opening, Wendy also explained that she’s thankful the program only has a few more episodes left before the holidays. “Fortunately, this is the last week of us doing this show, so [we really] only have to work around this for a moment before I just go home and rest [my shoulder]. That’s all you can do: rest,” she added.

Though Wendy acknowledged her injury, she didn’t let her fans know exactly how she got hurt and, according to a new report, some of her friends are worried about her health. “Something bad is going on with Wendy,” an insider told Radar Online, adding that the TV star has been exhibiting strange behavior “for weeks.”

“[Her friends and business associates] have been concerned about her in recent weeks,” the insider continued. “She can barely stand at times and has totally checked out. It’s a major problem.” After a week-long hiatus from her talk show earlier this year, Wendy revealed that she had been diagnosed with Graves disease, an immune system disorder that can “cause a rapid heartbeat, irritability, and difficulty sleeping.”

We wish you a speedy recovery from your shoulder fracture, Wendy!
