When You Can Finally See Serena Baldwin Make Her ‘General Hospital’ Return

It won’t be long now until legacy character Serena Baldwin makes her big General Hospital return. The character has not been seen in Port Charles for nearly a decade, but now she’s returning in a big way with a new face. Kelly Kruger is taking over the role and just shared when she will finally make her debut.

“Who’s ready to meet Serena???” Kruger asked in an Instagram post featuring a behind-the-scenes selfie. “It’s official!!! My first air date on @generalhospitalabc will be 7/30. I hope you love her as much as I do!!!! So excited to be back on your screens again!! I am the luckiest person in the world to work with these amazingly talented people on GH. Thanks for welcoming me with open arms.”

The post also boasts a photo of an interview with the actress in the print edition of TV Guide. In the article, Kruger mentions working with Rory Gibson, which has some fans speculating she could be paired with Gibson’s Michael Corinthos. As the audience knows, Michael is currently in a relationship with former prostitute Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell). Their idyllic romance has gone nowhere fast, so Serena could come along to spice things up.

Kruger’s Serena will be the first adult iteration of the character to have a storyline. Carly Schroeder, who played Serena as a child, returned briefly for a guest appearance in 2017 to say goodbye to her late grandfather, Lee Baldwin (Peter Hansen). Recently, Lucy (Lynn Herring), the surrogate who gave birth to Serena and raised her on her own, had a brief phone chat with Serena, which was the first time her name had been mentioned in years.

When Serena does return, she will meet a new family member. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) made his Port Charles arrival in 2022 as the never-before-heard-of son of Serena’s bio mom, Dominique, and her former lover, Mac Scorpio (John J. York).
