A-list actress Whoopi Goldberg may be one of the biggest faces in Hollywood, but what many fans forget is that she's been through three different marriages — and even has a daughter!

The Talk star began dating her first husband, Alvin Martin, in 1973. After a short period of time, they tied the knot before splitting six years later in 1979. The duo is parents to a 44-year-old daughter, Alexandrea Martin, who was born on May 9, 1973. Whoopi was just 17 years old when she gave birth to her first and only baby and is now a grandmother to two granddaughters and a grandson.

After that union came to an end, Whoopi moved on with cinematographer David Claessen and the two wed on Sept. 1, 1986. The pair had no kids together and they divorced two years later in 1988.

Onto her third and final marriage, Whoopi wed Lyle Trachtenberg on Oct. 1, 1994, and the two stayed together for one year until 1995. They also had no kids together and Lyle has since been very much out of the spotlight after their split.

Although Whoopi has not been married over the past nearly 25 years, she's been known to date some high-profile stars including Ted Danson from Cheers, Frank Langella, and Timothy Dalton, to name a few.

In a 2011 interview, Whoopi opened up about her multiple marriages, and revealed none of them made her happy. "I suppose you have to actually be in love with the person you marry. You have to be committed to them. I don't have that commitment. I'm committed to my family. No, I wasn't in love with my husbands. It's the truth," The Color Purple star confessed. "I wanted to feel normal and it seemed to me if I was married I'd have a much more normal life."

"That's not a good reason to get married. You have to actually want a life with someone through ups and downs and I discovered that wasn't for me," she added. Way to embrace that single girl life, Whoopi!
