Why ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Fans Want Katie To Let Go of the Guilt
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ fans defend Katie Logan as she faces guilt over her fashion house rivalry with the Forresters and the ongoing family feud.
The Forrester-Logan-Spencer feud has come to a head on The Bold and the Beautiful this week after a fist fight between Will (Crew Morrow) and RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) over Electra (Laneya Grace) resulted in 80-year-old Eric sporting a shiner.
What started as Katie Logan (Heather Tom) wanting to branch out on her own and start a new fashion house has ended with her sisters furious with her and Eric (John McCook), a man she looked up to as a father, calling her evil. While fans were at first furious with Eric, they’re now angered by Katie’s guilt.
Who Should Really Feel Guilty?
Just after Bill (Don Diamont) gifted Katie a fashion house as a wedding gift, Ridge not-so-gently encouraged Eric to retire. So, he turned to Katie and offered to design for her, even going as far as signing a contract and creating dresses, which had been his life’s work. When Eric changed his mind, he was appalled that Katie still used her legal right to his designs.
Adding insult to Eric’s injury, Katie also poached Hope (Annika Noelle) from Forrester Creations, infuriating Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Katie’s son, Will, fighting with Brooke’s son, RJ, over Forrester cousin, Electra, hasn’t helped matters. Now. Katie is feeling the weight of it all and ready to cave and admit wrongdoing, but fans don’t think Katie has been wrong.
“Katie has nothing to feel guilty about because she didn’t do anything wrong. Starting her own fashion house is not a crime,” one fan said on X.
Another fan can’t believe that Katie would show contrition to people who have done nothing but insult her ever since she decided to leave Forrester Creations, saying, “I just wanna reach through my screen and smack Katie upside her head. She has absolutely nothing to apologize for.”
Other fans are also furious with the Forresters’ attitude since Katie announced her plans for Logan. “Katie should stay away from Forresters; let them stew on their own,” another viewer tweeted.
Perhaps this one post sums up the feelings of legions of fans as Katie tries to make amends: “Katie (& Hope) are actually kind people who care about others, which is why they never fit with the Forresters! But they have NOTHING to feel bad about or be sorry for! They don’t owe that insufferable family a damn thing!”
