Beloved ‘General Hospital’ Star Sparks Return Rumors After Sudden Exit
Kirsten Storms shared a new look on social media while teasing a major location change that has soap fans talking
Beloved General Hospital star Kirsten Storms has been away from the Golden State for some time, but the fan-favorite actress took to Instagram to reveal that she has returned.
The actress posted a new selfie on Instagram highlighting her recent change in hair color from brunette back to blonde, joking, “Already posted this in my stories, buuuut the brunette hair didn’t last long.” The actress went on to tag the post “The never-ending hairstyles of my life continue,” and most importantly, “Back in Los Angeles.”
It is currently unknown the reasoning for Storms’ return to Los Angeles. Still, fans are hopeful that this return could mean a return to the soap opera General Hospital and that her storyline might be given an on-screen conclusion.
Earlier this year, Storms indicated that, after recent external factors, she was uninterested in returning to Los Angeles, and, as a result, the ABC series wrote the character and her family off the show. On-screen, it was revealed that Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) had accepted a job in Australia. As a result, Maxie and her kids would be relocating to keep their family together.
The exit was facilitated off-screen, with other characters explaining Maxie’s actions to viewers as Storms was unable to film the required exit scenes and the show opted not to recast the role.
If Storms is back in Los Angeles, fans are hopeful that the show will give Maxie a proper on-screen exit.
Storms originally joined the soap opera in 2005, as the daughter of supercouple Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) and Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner), following a successful run on competing soap opera Days of Our Lives as Belle Black, the daughter of supercouple John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Over the years, Storms has taken multiple periods of time off, ranging from multiple days to over a year. Fans are hopeful that they will see the beloved character once again.
In addition to her time on the soap opera, Storms is best known for her performance on the Disney Channel Original Movie series Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC and streams weeknights on Disney+ and Hulu.
