Bridget Moynahan Poses With Gross ‘Blue Bloods’ Prop in Photo From Set: ‘Fake Fatty Liver’
Bridget Moynahan had everyone talking after posting a photo with a fake body part on the set of Blue Bloods.
“Season 8, fatty fake liver! #BlueBloodsYearbook #BlueBloods #yummy #goodtimes #morgue #patéanyone,” Bridget, 53, captioned the picture, which was shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, December 8.
The post came after Bridget announced she would be sharing photos from all of the seasons of Blue Bloods to commemorate the show’s final season. She referred to it as a “yearbook.”
“I thought that was a turtle,” one person commented on Bridget’s photo of her holding the prop.
It honestly looked like a grilled chicken breast with fake blood splattered on top of it at first glance.
“That was one of the most disgusting things I ever had to paint on BB, thank you for making it fun! All the best, Mickey,” artist Mickey Kolodgy wrote in a comment underneath the post.
Another person commented a potential spinoff idea for Bridget as Blue Bloods gears up for its finale episode on Friday, December 13.
“They should do a spinoff show with you and Tony in another state. Like you are the DA , great idea right? Think of the cool storylines,” the comment said.
No official announcement has been made by CBS or the showrunners about a Blue Bloods spinoff but fans can only hope there will be some decisions made soon about the future of the franchise. The Reagans have been a huge part of fans’ Friday nights for the past 14 years and it will be quite an adjustment when the show goes off the air.
In another throwback photo from her time on Blue Bloods, Bridget smiled with her on screen brother Donnie Wahlberg.
“Let’s start with the beginning of Season 2. And in @donniewahlberg’s own words, ‘I got off stage from NKOTBSB Tour, went straight to an airplane, landed, went straight to the set and shot this scene. And don’t look even slightly tired!!!!!!,’” she captioned the picture.
Donnie and Bridget have quite the bond outside of the show, as he was the one who convinced her to take the role of Erin Reagan on Blue Bloods in the first place.
“I did talk Bridget into doing this show sort of,” Donnie said during the November 29 CBS special titled Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy.
“Yeah, Donnie and I had done a pilot together probably the previous year,” the Sex and the City actress shared. “It did not get picked up, so when he took this, he called me immediately to see if I would take it. And I had already kind of passed on it, but of course when Donnie calls and says, ‘Lets do this together,’ I reconsidered.”
In another clip, Donnie had tears welling in his eyes when he talked about how much he has enjoyed working with Bridget on the hit show.
“She’s my sister, like on screen and off. I don’t want to get emotional … I love Bridget a lot. We’re not here without her,” the Massachusetts native shared while getting all choked up.
