Their Little Stars! Meet Carrie Underwood’s 2 Sons Isaiah and Jacob With Husband Mike Fisher

She is known as an American Idol winner and one of country music‘s biggest stars, but if there’s something Carrie Underwood cares more about than career, it’s her kids. The “Cry Pretty” singer is the mom of her sons, Isaiah and Jacob, with her longtime husband, Mike Fisher.

After tying the knot in 2010, the country music songstress and the former hockey pro welcomed their first child, Isaiah, in 2015. Four years later, they welcomed their second son, Jacob, in 2019. At the time, the duo “couldn’t have been more excited about introducing their son Jacob Bryan to the world.”

“He’s the cutest thing ever and the family couldn’t be happier,” an insider told Closer Weekly following the little one’s birth. “Carrie can’t believe how blessed she is. This is a great time for Carrie and Mike and they’re going to cherish every single moment.”

The couple’s two kids have certainly been a blessing after the hitmaker suffered three miscarriages between Isaiah and Jacob’s arrivals. The Grammy Award winner first revealed her pregnancy losses while appearing on CBS Sunday Morning in September 2018. She later opened up to The Guardian about putting on a “smiley happy face” for the world.

“I was still trying to do my job and be Carrie Underwood,” the musician told the outlet about dealing with her tragic losses in private. “And then I’d go home and fall apart.” While the experiences were tough, Carrie decided to speak about them for an important reason.

“It’s something that people don’t really talk about. Even people who are my friends and I know well, after I talked about it were like, ‘My gosh, me too!'” she explained. “And I feel like it’s something I should’ve known about them.”

These days, Carrie is, of course, doing wonders as a mom all while juggling her career as a country music artist and fashion designer. But no matter how much free time she has in the day, Carrie said it still doesn’t feel like enough on occasion.

“My work life is pretty busy and can be unpredictable. Sometimes things are so hectic, I feel as if I’m not as present as I would like to be for them,” she told Parents in November 2020. “I tell myself that there are ebbs and flows. Sometimes I am crazy-busy, and sometimes I have the luxury of being at home for longer periods of time, which many parents don’t have.”

Even though she is one of the most famous country singers in the world, Carrie wants to make sure that Isaiah and Jacob have a “normal” childhood. The “Blown Away” singer and her husband value family time at their Nashville home with their kids more than anything.

“Isaiah recently said my job is doing laundry and I kind of loved that, because I don’t really want him to know what I do. Not that I’m keeping him in the dark, but it made me feel good that he sees me doing mom stuff,” she told People in May 2020.
